Libraries Transforming Communities Grant

The library held three talks and our attendees and presenters learned quite a bit about the history of Waterford Township and what's in store in the future.

Here are some points we learned/discussed:

The Township has a rich, long and varied history.

Atco Avenue some day will house a replica of the original train station and/or a local history museum.

New businesses are springing up and it's looking much better than it did a year ago.

The relocation of WTPL is a positive for Atco Plaza as well as Atco Avenue.

Welcome packets for new residents would be great!

Review the Township's Strategic Plan with the community (maybe in WTPL's new meeting room!)

Having a Township Information Hub at the Library.  Bring your flyers for upcoming events or let us know at wtpl@njlibraries.org!

Having an event for volunteer opportunities in the community for both adults and teens.

Thanks to all who attended and presented!
