Community Grief Gathering
May 20 @ 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm
THIS SESSION IS FULL. You are welcome to sign up for later sessions.
A popular phrase in recent years is “grief is love with nowhere left to go.” Whether you’re mourning the loss of a loved one, pet, or a time/place in your life that you can’t go back to, being able to have the opportunity to express and explore that grief is important for all people.
Waterford Township Public Library, in conjunction with Bury Me in New Jersey, is excited to announce a spring/summer series of grief meetups to give individuals 18 years and older opportunities to come together in community to talk about grief.
These meetups will occur on the third Monday of the month, starting May 20th, and will run until August 19th from 6:30pm until 8:00pm. These sessions will include opportunities to reflect on grief together through group discussions and activities that allow for individual reflection. All individuals 18 years and older are invited to attend!
Registration is required. Please use the form below or call 856-767-7727

About Bury Me in New Jersey…
Sara Wuillermin is a writer, editor, and podcaster based in southern New Jersey. She first became fascinated with grief rituals after observing roadside memorials along the county roads in South Jersey. Her personal grief journey began in 2005, the year her mom was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s. Since then, she’s explored the topic through writing about her own experiences and interviewing others about theirs.
In 2019, she attended INELDA’s End of Life Doula training to learn more about facilitating this process. Bury Me in New Jersey began later that year as an opportunity to foster discussion and community around topics relating to grief and dying. She is currently working on her Master of Social Work degree from Temple University with a focus on grief studies.
Bradley Nussbaum is a social worker, currently helping those in a hospice setting and, previously helped people with substance use and mental health problems. He is a Lay Minister with the Bright Dawn Center of Oneness Buddhism and has been a member of the Everyday Buddhism Sangha since 2019. He serves as Associate Minister and Practice Leader for the Sangha and has also facilitated the Everyday Buddhism Introduction to Buddhism Course.
Bradley also has devoted his time as an animal caregiver working at a sanctuary for farmed animals with disabilities.
