The environment can change very drastically! If you manage to get to first place you can choose which dimension to warp to for the last lap. You may suddenly be in a kraken attacked ship in the ocean, or space where you can only go by air.
Instead of lightweight, mediumweight, and heavyweight in Mario Kart, there is speed, balance, and power. Yet I’d recommend just choosing your favorite character.
