Friends of the Library

The Friends of the Waterford Township Public Library are a volunteer organization that realize how important a public library is to their community so they donate their time and energy to help the library.
The Friends work in collaboration with the Library Director, Library Staff and the Library Board of Trustees to provide financial support for programs, books, museum passes and other materials.
The Friends raise funds mainly thru membership dues, book sales and various other fundraisers throughout the year.
Donate
WTPL welcomes donations of used books in good condition. Due to space considerations, the library will normally accept only materials that are less than five years old.
The library does not accept: textbooks, encyclopedias, VHS tapes nor magazines.
Please inquire at the library before bringing in large quantities of used materials.
Volunteer
There are several volunteer opportunities for teens and adults at WTPL. Volunteers are needed to return library material to shelves, maintain shelves, help prepare children’s crafts, do general clerical work, and assist the Friends of the Library at events.
