CALLING ALL LOCAL AUTHORS!
The Waterford Township Public Library is holding a Local Author Fair on Saturday, September 27th, 2025 from 10:00AM – 2:00 PM. We are seeking local authors to participate! Our goal for the event is to create a space for local authors to promote their work, meet other local authors, interact with community members and readers, and have the opportunity to sell and sign copies of their books. The event will be free for all participants and attendees.
Due to space constraints and response received, the library regretfully will be unable to accept everyone who applies. We reserve the right to accept or refuse applicants at our discretion. Preference will be given to authors who currently or formerly live/work/attend school in Waterford Township or the surrounding area. Additional selection criteria may include publication quality, level of professionalism, artistic merit, local interest, and publication date. E‐book authors who do not have printed copies of their book to sell are not eligible to participate.
Accepted authors must be able to attend the event date (September 27th). Authors will be responsible for bringing and selling copies of their book(s) and for setting up an attractive display. The library will not handle any sales and will not take a cut or charge any fees to accepted authors. Accepted authors must provide the library with a headshot and cover images for publicity purposes.
More detailed guidelines will be provided to accepted authors. Deadline to apply is Friday, August 1st. Applicants will be notified of their status by Friday, August 8th.
