Bob was born and raised in the suburbs of Baltimore, Maryland. He has spent the last 50 years living in New Jersey. It is there where he pursued his passion for birdwatching and falconry. He has spent almost forty years as a falconer and over half that time he has dedicated to hunting red-tail hawks. At the time of writing A Journey with Red-tails he was flying his 21st red-tail. Writing this book was never in his long-term plans but as the years and red-tails rolled on he began documenting some of the birds he flew with unusual behaviors. He also took note of some of the exceptional birds he has flown along with some incredible stories of red-tails he has had the pleasure to know. Pieced together they paint a picture of how wonderful the sport of falconry is.
